There are important factors that go into setting up a site area for an inflatable unit that must be followed.
While it can get hectic as you prepare to set up with all the excitement surrounding the fun-filled unit, maintaining your professionalism is key. Also your client’s safety is your top priority.
Here are three things to remember when prepping a site for an inflatable:
1. Stay On Level Ground
Determining the location the inflatable will be anchored is the first thing you should do when you arrive at an event site. Look for areas that are level and free of any obstructions. If there are holes in the grass that can be patted down, make sure to do so before you set up the unit.
If you are setting up on a driveway or other concrete surface, ensure there are no protrusions that could damage the unit. You will also want to make sure that area is free of debris that could fly up and damage the unit or harm a child inside.
2. Confirm Electricity Access
The unit will need to have access to an electrical source throughout the duration of the event. You will want to make sure that there won’t be any additional vendors coming who will need to take away your access. Or if they need to share, ensure that the voltage is high enough to handle both operations.
If using a generator, make sure it can be in the same location throughout the event and won’t be obstructed by other vendors, cars or event guests.
3. Think Through the Event
The area you might think to put the unit could be great at the time you set up but bad as the event progresses. As much as you can, avoid direct sunlight or any area where cars might move.
If you are setting up in a parking lot, make sure the area you are in will be cleared and blocked off through he entire event. Try finding an area that also will have full or partial shade to keep the unit and children cool all day.
